New paper on forest-based bioeconomy and bio-based chemical production in the European Union
Our paper on forest-based bioeconomy and bio-based chemical production in the European Union has now been published in „Forest Policy and Economics“. This journal is the globally leading journal in forest policy analysis.
In this article we have examined how the defossilization of the chemical industry will change the policy issues, institutions, actors and instruments in a forest policy subsystem. New actors are entering the forest policy subsystem and it is expected that actors from the chemical sector will become more influential due to their demand for forest biomass for defossilization needs. We are delighted that our intensive interdisciplinary collaboration has proven to be exceptionally fruitful and that we have now published a policy analysis paper.
